Life in Kelmend - Soc. economic situation
Countys geographical environment is suitable for economic development because it provides proper conditions for the development of livestock, it has timber and medical plants, it is rich in waters and minerals, it has tourist places and cultural wealth etc, i.e. proper offerings for the development of economy and tourism.
With all these, it remained backward because of the long-aged struggles, unjust frontier decision in 1913 and socialist reforms (Agriculture collectivization, economy centralization, country self-isolation etc). In brief, the difficult economic situation is the result of the so-called struggle to defend socialism by relying on our own efforts under the leadership of the communist dictatorship, even in the Highland.
